Crash Bollards & Tire Killers

Technical:

The crash bollard is a real high security product, but can also be used in city centers or around embassies. The crash rated bollards combine high security with aesthetic design. The automatic retractable bollards are anti-terrorist bollards designed to withstand direct impact forces, the anti-ram retractable bollard provides protection from extreme Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) attack to sites where aesthetics are a consideration. The anti-terrorist bollards are designed and manufactured by engineers with significant experience in the fields of High Security and Access Control, the bollard is a highly dependable security and yet unobtrusive product that will easily interface with a wide range of control equipment. The automatic retractable bollards are assembled in our fabrication facilities using heavy gauge materials to give maximum strength and durability. This makes retractable bollards an ideal product to provide low profile yet fully effective protection for high security establishments, iconic buildings and critical infrastructure. Retractable bollards are an Electro-Hydraulically operated bollard system. The bollards are comprised of a static sub-surface mounting tube and impact tube. Raised/Lowered back indication signaling can be provided to enable remote monitoring of the bollard status on a real time basis (optional). The hydraulic power pack is controlled by a programmable logic controller (PLC) enabling connection of virtually any access control to the bollard. In addition, the HPU can provide outputs for a number of bollards for simultaneous operation. In the event of power failure a manual pump is provided to ensure operator control is maintained.

• Tire Killers: The tire killer is designed to destroy vehicles trying to forcibly enter into the secured area. If a vehicle attempts to break through, its tyres and axles will be destroyed. All vehicles can drive over the lowered tyre killer. Tire killer barricades are a simple to install highly secure vehicle control barrier, ideally suited for approach entrances to banks, military installations, airports, docks, cash collection depots, government offices etc. Tire killers teeth retract below ground level when a signal is received from the push button or integrated access control unit providing safe access for authorized vehicles. When the vehicle has passed, the tire killers teeth return to the active position, ensuring total protection from unauthorized vehicle intrusion. The Tire Killer Barricade comes with a push-button control as standard, however it can be customized to interface with a wide range of access control equipment to suit specific customer requirements (available as options) and any configuration including (but not limited to) inductive loop systems, card readers, communication equipment and manned guard panic systems can be accommodated. We recommend that Tire Killer Barricades are used in conjunction with a drop arm gate or barrier and an underground inductive detector loop to act as a safety device to prevent the Tire Killer barricade operating when an authorized vehicle is stationary over the teeth. Where the Tire Killer Barricade control point is remote from the installation, we strongly recommend the fitting of a recordable CCTV system, traffic lights and safety inductive loop systems
